We currently offer grades K-12, and AM/PM Half-Day Kinder. Grade levels might be combined into one room with one teacher if there are fewer than 4 students in a grade level. We believe that mixing age groups (similar to the Montessori style) is beneficial for students to learn to work with others.

Our school has begun the process of school-wide accreditation with Cognia, and while it is generally a 1-3 year process, we anticipate our final review before the end of this school year.
If you intend to transfer to a local high school after attending LCA (before we receive full accreditation), please inquire with that school about their non-accreditation policies for transfer students. CISD schools that do not accept non-accredited transfer students include The Woodlands High School and The Woodlands College Park High School.
We believe that elementary students should do more hands on learning, and have plenty of time outside and moving around. There will be minimal work on computers until 4th grade.
We cap classes at 8-10 students per teacher.
We will offer a limited number of Need-Based Tuition Assistance packages on a need basis each year.

We do not have plans for a clear backpack policy or metal detectors at the school, because we feel is creates an unhealthy school environment for children. However, we do take security seriously in the wake of everything going on in America.
Our entire school is surrounded by a tall wrought iron security fence and security gates. Every door has an RFID scanner to enter, and it logs all scanned ID badges. All drop-off students and all campus visitors must enter through a secure front lobby. All campus visitors must be escorted into the building by a staff member. No students are allowed to leave campus without permission during school hours.
All students and visitors are subject to random bag inspections without cause, per our Student and Parent Handbook. We have Vape/Bullying Detectors in every student bathroom., and there is a zero tolerance policy for drugs or weapons on campus.
We have our own school calendar* but follow Conroe ISD for school closures related to weather or emergencies. We are located at the boundary between Magnolia ISD and Conroe ISD, but most staff and students live within CISD boundaries.
Our academic calendar is structured to run from the first full week of August to the last full week of May, with a focus on student well-being and family convenience.
This schedule is intentional, as it:
Supports Family Travel: By including five total breaks (two each in fall and spring, plus a winter break), we align with major school holidays and offer additional "Flex Weeks" in October and April. This allows families with children in multiple public and private schools to travel during peak holidays, while also giving those with flexible schedules the option to travel during off-peak times. These Flex Weeks can also be used to schedule time-consuming annual appointments, catch up on makeup work, or focus on Genius Hour projects or special side projects during the year.
Combats Summer Slide: We believe a shorter summer break is essential. Reducing the gap between mid-May and late-August helps limit Summer Slide, ensuring students retain more learning year-to-year.
Promotes Rest and Recharge: Sporadic, balanced breaks throughout the school year benefit the entire community—parents, teachers, and students alike—by providing consistent opportunities to rest and recharge.
Allows For Mental Health Weeks: There is always a Flex Week in October and again in April. The puropse of this is mutli-fold.
