I want to share something close to my heart: Lake Creek Academy has decided not to participate in the Texas School Choice Voucher Program.

This isn’t a decision we made lightly. I believe deeply that the funding tied to vouchers belongs in our public schools. Public schools are the backbone of education for so many families, and that funding is critical to their success.

But here’s what we are going to do: instead of relying on vouchers, we’re growing our Lake Creek Academy Fund for Learning. My dream is that families who want to be part of our community can do so—without financial barriers standing in the way.

To help us reach that goal, we’ve hired a Development Director who will focus on fundraising efforts for scholarships. This is a big step forward in making sure every child who belongs at Lake Creek Academy has the opportunity to be here.

For me, this is about staying true to our values: supporting education as a whole, while opening doors for students who are meant to thrive here.
